You are what you eat (most recent)

This quirky mix is my latest WIP illustration inspired by a love of ice-cream. It brings the idea of 'you are what you eat' to life through a cannibalistic dessert.

Lost in thought

This piece conveys the feeling of when you've got so many thoughts swimming around your mind that everything becomes jumbled.

B&T 'IF' section - Published

This was my selected artwork for our concept ‘untranslatable words’ - language from other cultures that cannot be translated into just one English word. We pitched to B&T Creative Director Dan Uglow and designer Elliot Hind.

B&T 'IF' section - Alternate

This design was translating the German "Ohrwurm", or "Earworm" - A song or tune that gets stuck in your head. I wanted to convey the feeling of annoyance and loss of control.

Stairway to heaven

This was a compositing exercise Where I gathered approx. 20 random pictures or textures and used a selected to make a piece of art. I'm really happy with this piece; showing the angel and the gate drifting away from the staircase as it becomes seemingly impossible to reach.

Disney XD - Learning app concept

Target: 6yr olds. This was a fun side project where I designed a game hub and levels to make learning fun with kids' favourite characters. I created the levels design from scratch.

It's alive

I created this for fun using illustrator. I'm a big horror fan so my mind immediately went to making a zombie. I enjoyed adding the little details, like the maggot coming out of the finger, and the eye popping out a little from the socket.

Merry go round

This was another fun example of compositing various images to form an abstract piece. I wanted to create something a little whacky, but colourful and fun.

Product packaging mock-up

I created this mock-up to match a fictional product. The packaging was made from scratch using photos of the product and elements relating to the brand. I created the remaining elements needed painting over different packets as the base.

Client artwork

US Congresswoman Merrie Lee Soules: Logo design

Merrie was a 2016 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 2nd Congressional District of New Mexico. The brief was create a bold, serious, feminine, traditional logo that incorporates the United States Capitol Building.

Sydney Water - Council water stations

Sydney Water wanted designs to present to various Councils. The client wanted to show the water cycle in one design, with the rain falling into a catchment. The process was somewhat difficult to convey in a traditional sense so I chose a more abstract look that fit with the style of the other designs.

Sydney Water - Council water stations

This was a generic option where I shapes the lines to represent the flow of water. I wanted to create something basic but beautiful.
